Biography

Neil Watson is an Associate Director within Preston Rowe Paterson’s Investment Valuation and Capital Markets Advisory team, bringing more than three decades of experience across the property industry. Over the course of his career, Neil has developed a practical and well‑rounded understanding of real estate markets, underpinned by rigorous valuation methodology and advisory expertise.

Since focusing on commercial property valuation from 2016, Neil has built a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality, well‑researched valuation and advisory outcomes across a broad range of asset classes. His experience includes commercial office buildings, industrial warehouses and factories, development sites, and specialised and going‑concern assets, including hotel and leisure properties.

As a senior member of the Investment Valuation and Capital Markets Advisory team, Neil is recognised for his meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical capability and disciplined approach to valuation methodology. He regularly undertakes valuations for mortgage security, investment analysis, development feasibility, financial reporting and transaction advisory purposes, with a consistent focus on audit compliance and quality reporting standards.

Neil acts for a diverse client base including listed and unlisted real estate investment trusts (REITs), sovereign wealth funds, corporations, trusts, government entities, banks, superannuation funds, private investors and property developers. His advice is valued for its clarity, commercial grounding and ability to withstand scrutiny.

Neil holds a Bachelor of Property Valuation and an Advanced Diploma of Property Services (Valuation). He is a Certified Practising Valuer and holds relevant real estate registrations, reflecting his commitment to professional standards and ongoing technical excellence within the valuation profession.
